Alex Ovechkin (b. September 17, 1985) is a Russian professional hockey player who plays for the Washington Capitals. A skillful left wing, Ovechkin played for the HC Dynamo for four seasons until he was drafted by the National Hockey League in 2004, the first pick in the draft.  The 2004 NHL season was never played because of a lockout over contract negotiations, so Ovechkin did not officially play until 2005, when he won the Calder Cup naming him rookie of the year. Early in 2012, Ovechkin purchased this 5-bedroom home in McLean, Virginia for a reported $4.2 million dollars.
